Our turn

I'm going to talk about someone, who I'm not going to name but I hope they know I'm talking about them when I write this. 

 There are some people in life who always seem to go unnoticed by the majority, but when the majority needs help, this small handful of people will always be there. This one person in particular has and will always be there for me and everyone I know; they can appear to be the happiest person, and when someone else is having a tough time they have always put that persons needs above their own. 

 This person is one of the strongest people I know; through all of the hard times, the horrible people and well shit that has been thrown at them, they have always remained that strong smiling person I know. 

 A smile doesn't always mean happiness though; I have been aware for a while that this person has not been happy in them self, the person that I have always seen as one of the strongest people I know broke. 

 Everyone breaks and has their down days, but I just want them to know that now it is our turn; everyone you have helped over the years is now helping you. You are an amazing person, you are so kind and caring and you have a twisted sense of humour and none of us would change a thing. Things are going to get better, because we're going to make sure you do. 

 I love you.

End of the First Term

It's a new term and a hopeful one at that. I've had my results back, some were disappointing but others were the boost I needed in confidence. My first term was spent stressing over how well I wrote my essays and stories, worrying over the feedback I'd receive; now I am confident I know where I was going wrong, and how I am able to better my work. I finished the first term with a 2:1, which I never expected. Abyss

About two weeks ago my therapist asked me to name a few things about myself that I like; we sat there for a good five minutes while I sat in silence, and she tried to push me to find things. Ever since she asked me it is all I have been able to think about, because honestly I can't name a single thing I like about myself, and what's even scarier is that I don't think I've ever been able to. I don't think I can honestly say that I have ever liked myself. I think it's one of the reasons why none of my relationships with anyone, romantic or just friends have ever lasted very long; it's as if anything that brings me joy and happiness is soon turned into something bitter and hateful in my head. Stressed out

There's so much and so little going through my head recently, both old and new information flooding my brain, making me process and re-surface everything from the past few years. All of my hopes and fears that have been and gone, but also everything that's new; pulling things that I haven't thought about in years, back up to the front of my mind making me re-evaluate decisions.  I'm finally in my new house, I'm exactly where I need and want to be right now but it seems to have made me confront a lot of problems I have ignored. I don't know if it's the change of environment and I'm making myself worry with past events, or whether I've been in such fast paced environments that I've never fully processed events at the time.
